Look Before You Leap


The campaign Look Before You Leap by Visa aims to tackle the rising online fraud in the UK. Fraud has been rising rapidly since the beginning of lockdown, and another spike is expected with the vaccine rollout. This affects both Visa’s partners and customers. Visa as a financial giant, is committed to protecting the broader payment ecosystem, and therefore wants to minimise the impact of fraud on businesses and customers. The campaign aims to educate first-time novice shoppers on the risks of online fraud by creating an interactive educational website. The slogan “Look before you leap” compares physical jumping to making big life decisions, which is illustrated in the brand’s communication.


Linda Deakova


Linda is an international student who is interested in tech, innovation and self-development. Her work has been celebrated for its original ideas and approach, exemplified by her final project and previous campaigns. Throughout her time at the university, she worked to improve students’ experience by volunteering as FANS (Friends of Arriving New Students) and later ran in the Student Unions election for a sabbatical officer position, where she ranked third out of 22 candidates. She was recently selected for the Digital Shaper training program at TechLabs London and awarded the Gold Westminster Employability Award.
